That I, Dalia Assem have been living in Egypt. My parents are full Egyptian but I was born and raised in America. Ilhamdulliah, coming to Egypt was the best thing that has happened to me. I’m not going to go into full detail, but let me just say I was what you can call a “nominal muslim” back in California. Basically I’m writing this blog to remeber my path to knowledge truth and discovery and inshallah  to help others discover and find the light.

Egypt- Hear the adhan, 5  or 6 masjids within less than a mile, Muslims everywhere-even nacobs! But theres also the intermixing of genders at CityStars(Cairo Mall) Wearing of headscarf with clothes so tight they look painted, and the ever popular “culture agreegated Islam”. Yes, Egypt is a fantastic place to be if you really want to learn your deen, away from dissolute imorral distractions, near to many educated scholars and sheikhs. But let’s not say its completly Islamic. I’ll  explain more later.
